Good cocktail menu, but we waited 25 mins to be served at it. I don't think it's because they don't have enough staff on. I just think it's because the bar is too small for the amount of people they let it. I've never eaten in it but by god the food smells amazing. We've never eaten it because the wait is always too long. Ain't nobody got time for dat. Min 2 hour wait time on a busy night.Smoking room is not sheltered so you are exposed to the full blast of the sea winds...not fun.
If you fancy a child-free evening then the Neptune & Prawn is definitely for you. The saver menu is offered most evenings (definitely not saturdays) and you can get 1-course for 7.99 or 2-courses for 10.99. Sides are a few pounds extra and some items have small supplements but the food is worth it. There is lots of choice on the menu from great old British nosh to Chinese, Indian and Asian cuisine. There are good vegetarian choices available too. The dessert menu looks divine but you'll no doubt be too full after the first 2-courses to avail of these delightfully delicate treats (at least I always am anyway ). Give it a try and enjoy the peaceful child-free ambience.
Lovely food. Far too busy for me. 2 hour wait for food but managed well. Walk in. Book a table. Get ticket. Move upstairs to cocktail bar. Order and eat starters. Drink cocktails. Number called. Move downstairs.
Great place overall. I loved the bar upstairs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. In the main restaurant the staff seemed to be spread a bit thin. Food and drinks were great. Good value!
Amazing food at very reasonable prices... even the wine is exceptional value. Highly recommend this restaurant. No kids allowed which is great if you want a relaxed meal.
